Has been an exciting spell for the band fresh from playing with the Coronas to a full house at the academy last week. Added to this amazing gig and the even more amazing crowd, we’ve been in studio with the Killer’s producer for the last week laying down 3 new tracks to go on the new album we’re planning!!

Apart from all these goings-on, Stu(manager) is currently organising 2 VIC shows for one night on the 6th of February in Dublin venue crawdaddy!! Tickets will go on sale soon and will be for the all ages show and the over 18’s show which will take place later that night.

oh, a quick thanks to Brid Cannon for her incredible work on two of our newly recorded songs. Her violin playing is second to none and anyone watching us at the Academy last week will testify to that

See you in Crawdaddy

Merry Christmas

Aloha

The annual UCD Commerce Ball is renowned as being one of the craziest nights in the college calendar. Initially, I felt like I was entering a warzone at the Mansion House. From our green room overlooking the venue, all I could see was complete madness. This was the moment when I knew this was going to be a cracker of a night. The madness didn’t stop when we got on to the stage. At one point, there were 2 girls lying across the stage, who had been pushed by the crowd behind them, until security had to calm it all down. All in all, the gig went great and the crowd were insane!

In other news, we have been confirmed as guest act for the blastbeat festival in Cyprus Avenue, Cork for the 12th of December. This promises to be a great night. Apart from that, we are going on a small tour of England over the Christmas period which is going to be great crack. I’ll update you further with venues when the dates are confirmed.

On an unrelated yet important note, one of my close friends Mick McCormack is currently growing a “mo”(november moustache) for charity. He is seeking to raise funds for prostate cancer by making himself look like an eejit. To lend support to this great cause, you can check his site and picture out here

Hey all,

Apart from the typically depressing Irish weather and the realisation that two of my close mates are heading away to Australia for an indefinite period in a few days, it has been a good week. The band have nearly completed the writing of a brand new song(what Billy has called his favourite of the lot of them) and we’ve a gig coming up tomorrow night in the Village. We haven’t played a live gig since our mini Irish tour during August and September, so we are excited to be getting back on stage again. In other news, our manager has sorted out new “VIC” merchandise-Tshirts, caps etc… which will be available on the website in the coming weeks. I hope next week’s post will be a bit more exciting

Dan.

How’s it going guys,

I hope you like the new website. Look forward to updating you, through the blog, on the band’s news throughout the year. 2010 promises to be the best year yet for VIC but there is also plenty going on between now and christmas. Happy to say that today we got confirmation that the band will be the headline act at this years UCD Commerce ball on the 11th of November- looking forward to the first play of two new songs which we’ve been working hard on over the last couple of months.

I’d like to take the opportunity here to say thanks to the growing fanbase here in Ireland and a personal thanks to Cailan, our Dublin promotions rep. I’d also like to say a very special “konnichiwa” to Motoko, our Japanese street team co-ordinator, and the growing fanbase throughout Japan. If things go according to plan, we will be seeing you in Tokyo sometime in 2010. I must not forget to say a big hello to Hannah in Brazil who is generating a lot of interest in the band in that region. I hope we can live up to expectations!

Take it easy

Dan
